EASY STRAWBERRY COMPOTE RECIPE – THE GOLDEN LAMB

|1/2 lb strawberries|
|1/2 cup granulated sugar|
- Prepare Your FruitRemove the green part, and then cut your strawberries in 1/2 or 1/4’s. I leave mine in half because I like larger chunks of fruit.Cut 1 whole lemon in half and set aside.
- Add Sugar & Lemon JuicePlace the sliced strawberries in a medium saucepan. Add 1/2 cup of granulated sugar. Next, grab your lemon halves and squeeze the juice out of both over your sugar and strawberries.
- Cook for 10 MinutesTurn the heat on to medium heat or medium-high heat. Depending on your stove, you’ll want to adjust if things seem too intense.Stir now and then, keeping an eye on things.Do this for 5-10 minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved and the strawberries are at your desired consistency.
