|25g Plain flour|
|500ml Whole milk|
|100g Cheddar cheese, grated|
- Heat the butter in a pan until melted.
- Stir in the flour to make a smooth paste (roux).
- Gradually add the milk, stirring until smooth.
- Simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the cheese until melted.
